We bring global experience and expertise on climate education

Did You Know?

about3

1 billion children live in countries facing the highest climate risks

about4

By 2050, every child will be affected by extreme heat events.

about2

Climate-driven school closures are on the rise, undermining children’s education.

about1

Malnutrition and disease linked to climate change are already damaging children’s health.

Resilience begins with children — and climate solutions must, too.

Climate change is a child’s rights issue.

Children will face more extreme weather events*

7X as many heat waves
2X as many wildfires
3X as many droughts,

They are increasingly anxious about climate change

77% of children are more concerned about climate change than anything else

In 2024,
At least 242 million students in
85 countries had schooling disrupted by extreme climate events.

Heatwaves were the most significant climate hazard worldwide to disrupt schooling.

South Asia was the most affected region with 128 million students affected by climate-related school disruptions.

Children are facing the brunt of climate change that they have no hand in creating, making this a climate justice issue.

“If just 16% of children in the developed world receive climate education it can have the same impact as removing 504 million cars from the road.”

Earth Warriors is a social enterprise working at the intersection of climate change, sustainability and education to enable climate action. We work globally with education institutions, development organisations, governments and businesses to make climate action a reality through our expert services.

Earth Warriors is extremely proud to have been awarded the start up of the year by GESS in 2023. Start up life is a journey with a steep learning curve and lots of ups and downs. Recognised by UNESCO Green citizens initiative for our unique approach.

Earth Warriors was recognised as a UNESCO Green Citizen Initiative in 2022 for its unique approach to climate education and we couldn’t be happier about this. UNESCO launched the Green Citizen  initiative in 2021 to support and highlight local citizen projects that are shaping new ways of inhabiting the world in harmony with nature. We have been thrilled to become part of  the Green Citizens community, sharing best practices, innovations and ideas with like minded change makers.

Earth Warriors with National Geographic

Earth Warriors is delighted to share our short animation made in partnership with The National Geographic Society. We co-created this resource for teachers during lockdown to shine a light on the importance of teaching quality climate education in an age-appropriate way, critical for 3-7-year-olds to keep their eco-anxiety in check.

In 2022 we released our  Global Learning Standards on Climate Change for 3-7 year olds – developed byus in collaboration with Professors Dana Charles McCoy and Michael Mastrandrea from Harvard and Stanford University respectively.
